Ambidience And Astmosphere Of La Bodeguita Seemed
Ambidience and astmosphere of La Bodeguita seemed authentic for this large, spacious Latin American / Colombian restaurant tucked away beside Elephant & Castles shopping parade. However I wish I could say the same about the food, it arrived quickly in under 10 minutes my partner and I were presented with our meals, a sign that a lot of the food had been sitting around, I ordered a medium/rare steak with rice, salad & fried plaintain. My partner ordered a latin mixed grill with various meats and a bean stew. The food was nothing special, there were no sauces to accompany the meal, we asked the waiter who was friendly and greeted us in Spanish but scarce and unorganised, he told us there were no sauces. My steak arrived well done, the fried plantain was cold, dry and had clearly been sitting on a hot plate for hours. The rice was swimming in grease and the "salad" consisted of shredded, wilted ice berg lettuce, 1 slice of cucumber and 1 slice of tomato. The meal was bland and run of the mill I was not impressed.
