With It's Clean, Modern Yet Cosy, Comfortable Inte

With it's clean, modern yet cosy, comfortable interior Black & Blue makes for a brilliant dining experience. The atmosphere is lovely and waiters very polite, if a little too polite - they can ask the obvious "are you OK?" a little bit too much but that is OK considering what a fantastic dining experience anyone would have here.

The food is slightly more expensive than your average steakhouse but despite the simplicity of the menu here the food is of exeptional quality, very well presented and served to you swiftly. Being a steakhouse the majority of their menu obviously consists of steak although lamb, chicken, salmon and tuna are also offered in a few of their dishes. I do not recommend this restaurant to vegetarians as there really isn't much on the menu to suit a vegetarian.

I had the olives and tortilla chips to start with a selection of dips and for main I tasted the ribeye steak with chips and a caesar salad. Simple yet very tasty, quality food.

There are several of these family run restaurants around London, the particular one I frequent is located just outside Borough Market underneath the railway arches near London Bridge. You feel the occassional train rumble through the building but don't let this put you off, it's all part of the experience.

The decor is fresh, funky and modern yet has a cosy feel to it, a glass lift takes you up to the toilets which are sparkling clean. The whole place has a very clean feel to it. The lighting has a nice ambiedience and creates a lovely atmosphere for couples or dining with friends alike. The tables are not too close together and are spacious with plenty of room to place your food and drinks.

If you are a lover of steak, I cannot recommend Black & Blue enough. It really is a fantastic dining experience where you can kick back, relax and enjoy food, drink and conversation with your companion(s).
