Under New Ownership The Passion And Commitment Of
Under new ownership the passion and commitment of the new owners and their professional team shines through. From the wonderful welcome when we stepped through the door to the prompt but unhurried speed of service, it felt like we were regulars and not there for our first visit to both Bury and Baileys.
Refreshingly home-made food made with quality ingredients and at great value for money, I hope that Baileys and it's young team go from strength to strength.
Don't miss out on this hidden gem in Bury - it's clear others are'nt by the full restaurant and we will definately be returning!

Baileys 2 Have Been Open For Just Over Two Years,
Baileys 2 have been open for just over two years, and it is owned by the son of the couple who used to own it when it was called 'Baileys Tearooms', the son employs his whole family, and even the girlfriend works with him!
What they serve is a range of what the owner calls 'real food'. By this, he means that it is all made on site and not brought in, like so many other restaurants do!
The last time I went, our party of three enjoyed a lovely bottle of french rose wine (£12.50), a warm savoury tart with smoked chicken, spinach & taleggio, which was served with dressed mixed leaves and warmed new potatoes (£6 ish), a toasted sandwich of bacon, banana & mango chutney (£4.50 ish), which came with dressed leaves and a pesto pasta salad garnish, and a deli sandwich of hand-carved pastrami, dressed leaves, brie and mustard (£4.50 ish). This was then topped off with two puddings that we shared between the three of us - a walnut Bakewell tart with whisky and honey ice cream (£3 ish), and an elderflower and gooseberry Victoria sponge (£2.75 ish), and also three 'caffe con leche' (£1.50 ish).
I must admit we indulged ourselves with the bottle of wine, but even so, it still only cost us over £12 per person, and it was well worth it!
Not only would I recommend this place to a friend, I will keep going back!
