Poor service, horrible food, uncomfortable ambiance at The Curry India in Colchester. The waiter had no idea about the menu, was rude, vindaloo (supposed to be 'very spicy') turned out sweet!! Alu chaat looked like aloo masala with gravy!! stuffed paratha looked like a pasty!! Totally disgruntled and will NEVER go there again. My advise to everyone would be to give this place a pass.

I went to The Curry India, Colchester, with a party of 5 men of middle age and over and our initial welcome was not overly enthusiastic.
The food was ok but nothing spectacular.

The Curry India is the oldest Indian in Colchester has been established from 1962. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is authentic, and you can relax and have a romantic meal. The staff are really friendly, and make sure you have enjoyed your meal. Would definately recommend it if your in Colchester.
