I Would Not Want Anyone Else To Go Through This Te

I would not want anyone else to go through this terrible experience at Players Retreat Bistro. I had to leave before receiving the main course because otherwise I'd be late for my show (although before booking I was leaving sufficient time). When I spoke to the chef, I was shocked at how much he smelt of smoke, and that he couldn't string a logical sentence together.

Westcliff-on-sea, British, Players Retreat Bistro:

Westcliff-on-Sea, British, Players Retreat Bistro: I have experienced many gastronomic delights around the globe, from Tokyo to LA, but none can compare to this little discovery.

The range of roasts were incredible, the soup sublime - Gordon Ramsay couldn't compete. I am starting a campaign to get the Players Retreat the Michelin stars it so rightly deserves!

Refurbished, The Atmosphere Is Lively And Very Fri

Refurbished, the atmosphere is lively and very friendly (with an added pinch of life given with the live music that they have playing on a Saturday). There is a great choice of food all made and served to a very high standard.

An excellent location, benefiting from the closeness of the seafront, with ample parking and the Cliffs Pavilion just a stone throw away.

The owners and staff make you feel at home in the surroundings and are aware that time is of the essence when booked to see a show.

I recommend this as not only a Restaurant, but as a place to visit for meet and great friends as I have learnt that they have also gained a bar licence.

The Players Retreat Bistro Is Under New Ownership

The Players Retreat Bistro is under new ownership and is much improved.

I now eat here regularly and it is suitable for all occasions. On a Friday or Saturday it can be very lively and there are often singers which is great fun.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a pre or post dinner after a show at the Cliffs, this fits the bill.
