Banana Leaves, Chadwell Heath

I loved that restaurant, after a long time I found an indian restaurant where i can find good food and good customer service, and I have been there already 3 times in 2 weeks.

Strongly recommend it.

Nouvelle Cuisine, roughly translated means: I can't believe I paid thirty five pounds and I'm still hungry...well, I didnt say that but came across in a paper clipping that i read to work.

My journey to fine food and classy service came to an end when i bumped into Banana Leaves Restaurant in Chadwell Heath - Romford. South Indian...yes...eyes roll! What on earth was it to complicate things on Indian food? I thought!

The place was dimly light, soothing sound of music and filled with heavenly aroma of those freshly grounded spices. In short i hit bingo on taking out my wife for our first wedding anniversary (btb guys...there is a real bingo just across the road!)

Seems good till now. But hai...where is the crowd?

It seems that there had been a MAJOR change in management and take my words I meant MAJOR. These guys r real professionals.

Unlike oddly named and the vivid colours of night in my mind, I ordered for a Chicken 65. A number 4 less than that send tickle down my spine...

Those well marinated fried chicken (which seemed to be very popular back in Kerala) was a pleasant eye opener to the things to come. And then there was fried fish (caught from the Indian ocean), lamb curry and prawns that tasted divine.

From the short but smart array of wine list that they had Chablis went as a good partner with us throughout our meal.

In short guys...a dont miss place (wish BBC had them on 40 unforgettable things to do before you die).

Go with ur kids, girlfriend, family, neighbour!
