I Recently Had The Unfortunate Experience Of Going
I recently had the unfortunate experience of going to Tandoori Station with a friend. The moment the starter was served, I regretted our decision of walking all the way to this place. We ordered Aloo chat as a starter, and we were served Aloo bhaji! We ordered prawns dopiaza and motor panir (peas with cottage cheese) as the main course and instead of motor panir we got chick peas and potatoes! When we politely reminded them what we had ordered the guy told us that he knew what motor panir is but this is the way they serve it! Seeing the astonishment on my face, he suggested that he would get the dish we had asked for prepared especially for us. In about 10mins he brought a thing that didn't even remotely resemble or taste like motor panir - it was peas mixed with Mozzarella cheese instead of cottage cheese! We were speechless and didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. If they can't offer what they have written on the menu then they should inform the customer beforehand. They might be able to fool people not familiar with the Indian cuisine but not all those who have even the slightest idea of south Asian food.
