Particularly Good Food, Arguably Oundle's Best Res
Particularly good food, arguably Oundle's best restaurant. Service was okay - but not the quickest, however the food was magnificent so this needs to be taken into account.
This is one of the better places I've dined at it must be said. I'd reccomend this place in a heartbeat to anyone who enjoys good (spicey) food and an atmosphere to match.

The Atmosphere At Onkar Is Very Friendly And Profe
The atmosphere at Onkar is very friendly and professional, the decor is contempary and pleasent. The food is of excellent standard and the service complemented the high standard of food, in comparison to the quality and unique authentic flavour of the food the price was very reasonable. I would strongly recommend the chef's speciality selection, we ordered the king prawn marzydaar and the chandigar lamd karai, both were absoutely devine, I have not experienced such unique indian cusine, and have taken keen interest in the northern indian.

I Went To Onkar Indian Restaurant To Celebrate My
I went to Onkar Indian Restaurant to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and welcoming - the open fire was a nice touch. They offer a good choice of starters. We tried the Tandoori mixed grill, a tasty selection of marinated chicken and lamb cutlets cooked in a clay oven, my wife chose the Prawn Paratha which was very good. For our main course we decided to try a chef's special and a Chicken jalfrezi, both were accompanied by naan and rice. The house wines are reasonably priced, we opted for an Australian Chardonnay which cost slightly more. For dessert we ordered the Pistachio Indian 'Kulfi' ice creams and were pleased with our choice. The cost of the meal was reasonable and the young staff were very helpful. I would certainly reccomend this restaurant.

Onkar Indian Restaurant - This Is What Indian Food
Onkar Indian Restaurant - This is what Indian food is all about!
The variety of food is outstanding and the naan breads are to die for! I had the finest Chicken Tikka Masala dish ever, all the food is cooked to order and you can tell. The chefs special's are just that! Oundle is a beautiful village and the restaurant does well to relect this. Staff are attentive and helpful, but being so popular, it's become a victim of its own success and service has become a little stretched on weekends - but don't let this put you off, this place is up there amongst the best!
