Brilliant Hogmanay Party Closes Curtain On 7 Yrs Of Service
Took part in the Hogmanay party at the Bull last night and what a corker it turned out to be. Great buffet, fantastic drinks and great band made this very sad night, one to remember.
Why sad?
It was the final event organised by the two tenants who have not only provided a quality and well run venue but had become part of the community that makes visiting or living in this town such a pleasure.
Who takes over will find the a hard act to follow and why Charles Wells have let these major assets go is beyond comprehension.
Good luck James & Mark - will be interesting to see if the reviews maintain such a high level of feedback - somehow I doubt it.

A Tidy And Very Presentable Pub With Good Food. La
A tidy and very presentable pub with good food. Last time I visited was in a group of 6 and everyone was happy with their food. The dessert including a sample of everything was great to share between two. The highlight for me was the service. The staff wear smart black shirts and are very helpful. A friendly waiter called Mark was very patient when for a second time nobody could make a decision on what to order and had a great sense of humour. The only weakness for me personally was the absence of an apple crumble on the menu!

We had friends to stay, so thought we would try the food at The Bull as we had only previously been in there for drinks. The atmosphere is good on a Friday night and it had been busy last time we went so we booked a table for 08.30pm. I understand that when going out for a meal it shouldn't be rushed as it gave us time to chat and catch up, but we didn't receive our starters until about 09.30pm and our mains until about 10.20pm. I had the squid to start which was slightly chewy in my opinion and the dressing that was on it just tasted like vingar. The main was lovely (Sole and hand cut chips) however because we didn't get our main meal until 10.20pm I didn't feel like eating that late. The staff were all really welcoming and lovely, I just think they need to possibly speed things up a little.

The Bull Inn Olney Was Quite Tidy And Well Present
The Bull Inn Olney was quite tidy and well presented although it lacks character a little, staff nowhere to be seen then sat reading a paper. Beer was in good condition.

The Bull Inn in Olney is a lovely Pub Restaurant, serving fantastic food, with decent service, couldnt ask for much more, although the interior is starting to look slightly dated.
