Lumpini, Dunstable

I ate in the Lumpini restaurant on the 9th November 2013. The food was amazing and the service faultless.

The staff are knowledgeable and lovely. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. This is the most delicious and authentic Thai food that I have eaten outside of Thailand.

Give yourself a treat and go and taste what real Thai food can taste like. You won't regret it.

Having frequented this restaurant for more than three years, I can confidently say that Lumpini is without doubt my favourite restaurant in Dunstable.

There's a wide variety on the menu to suit those with vanilla tastes in food and those who like something more exotic. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and excellent value for money with a lot of nice flavours on it. The dinner menu is more expensive but if you enjoy the lunch menu, you'll be blown away by the former. It's amongst the best Thai food I've ever eaten. There are plenty of off-menu options you can request as well.

If I had to criticise one thing in particular with regards to the menu, the dessert options are a bit too Western though by no means unpleasant.

The staff are very friendly though they crowd a bit too closely to the table when there's a large group, almost as though they're supervising you rather than waiting to tend to requests for more drinks or food.

The atmosphere varies by time of day. At lunch time it's relatively quiet though around Christmas, it can be packed. During the evening, however, it's very well attended so you're best off booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suffice it to say, Lumpini is a real gem in Dunstable. Only the most cynical or picky eaters would not enjoy a visit.

Lumpini is the best Thai Restaurant in Bedfordshire. Services is five stars. Very good food. I and my family have very good time. Thanks to the waiters/waitresses.

This is one of very few good restaurants in Dunstable. The faults are minor but I found it difficult to appreciate the differences between the various dishes on the menu. Everything seems to contain chilli / garlic and coriander and the descriptions did not highlight the differences between the dishes. I thought the service was ok but lacked the personal touch that can make a night special.

However, the food could not be faulted. The price was not cheap but the quality of the food was such that I would consider the venue decent value for money.
