I Would Recommend This Cafe To Everyone. As A Grou

I would recommend this cafe to everyone. As a group of bikers first time visit, we were made to feel at home, with a great cup of tea, a lovely friendly welcome. We will be definitley be coming back with more bikers. (The Superheros!).

I Have Really Enjoyed Going To This Cafe. Our Star

I have really enjoyed going to this cafe. Our starters were soup, and it was gorgeous, not the tinned stuff! Then, we had lovely ham and beef baguettes, not the plastic stuff!

Everybody was pleasant and very chilled out outside on the terrace.

All in all, a very pleasant meal, I would recommend it to anyone. The home-cooking really does it for me, I'm afraid!

For the 2 of us, soups, baguettes and teas, we paid a little bit more than £20.00 and our teapot was refilled for free! So I think it was value for money.

The Baguettes We Got At The Old Barn Cafe In Powys

The baguettes we got at The Old Barn Cafe in Powys were much smaller than expected considering the price. The ham was fatty, and their was only a partial slice of fatty ham in the smaller than average baguette. Sandwiches were much the same. £3.80 got you a small baguette with one partial slice of fatty ham, with a tiny bit of garnish.Spent almost £18 on a couple of these baguettes, a couple of sandwiches (one of which I had to remove the fatty ham before my son would eat it), 2 soft drinks and 2 teas.Got back and spent £5 on some chips and sausage, which filled everyone up.

Clearly, you have had better experiences than I.My review was honest and accurate for the day that I ate at the old barn cafe, and I stand by my review 100%. I was obviously unfortunate enough to eat there on a bad day. Whilst I realise that food is about taste, there has to be something for you to be able to taste, all I had was a slice of poor quality ham. It is a cafe and so I would expect to pay cafe prices and get a reasonable amount of filling, and a reasonable quality filling at that. Old barn cafe did not provide any of this when I ate there.

I'd like to disagree with the previous comment on The Old Barn Cafe.

I have been eating there regularly for a few months now, and have always been pleased with the quality of the food,as well as the puddings.

Food is not just about fat and fry, it' s also about taste.

The baguettes and sandwiches I have had there were always nice, crispy, with fresh fillings, and NO PLASTIC meat.

I do think the prices are reasonable, especially kid's menu.

If some people can't appreciate that, it's their loss.

Cheers
