A Friend Celebrated Their 50th Birthday At The Fat
A friend celebrated their 50th birthday at The Fat Delicatessen and it was my first visit to this very understated deli on Balham high street.
During the day an ordinary sandwich and coffee shop where the staff are welcoming and friendly. After closing in the afternoon, the deli is available to hire late into the evening and caters for up to 75 people comfortably. There is a great warm atmosphere and the staff prepare and serve the most delicious tapas dishes either to your specification or to their own menu (best let them decide I tried some fascinating food that I had never heard of before).
All in all a great place to celebrate in style, soft background music and a fully-stocked bar works wonders! A little pricey for normal sandwiches and lunch foods but well worth the evening event for a special occasion.
