Don't Waste Your Money
We booked a table for 4 people, when we arrived they couldn't find us in there diary Staff didn't know how to smile. One of the waitresses pulled up her tights and I got a not so nice view of what what's under her skirt, The carvery looked like it had been sitting there for a few days and the curry looked and tasted like something your could get from asda. Toilets didn't look very nice either
Very Poor Do Not Waste Your Money
attended valentine night, on arrival had to wait to be greeted for some time, shown to table, other tables dressed with red serviettes ours had left over brown ones, starters both had to be sent back cold, main course luke warm sent back re heated, pudding ok(cold could not go far wrong) Spoilt evening one couple left due to poor service, one other disgruntled stating that they would not go back! Will not attend again!
Unorganised, Slow, Dissapointed
Before going I called to see what the waiting times for the carvery was and was greates by a unfriendly voice in the end of the phone who informed me that there was no wait and present. Living only a stones throw away we then decided that we try the new carvery at the bread and cheese. Really looking forward to our Sunday roast we arrived and was told to grab a drink and would be seated shortly. Was served by a young lady who didn't know how to crack a smile or pour a pint and felt like we wasnt Completly welcome. After waiting 50 minutes and other people getting seated who walked in after us we where finally shown to our seats. Where sat right by the carvery and looked good. After watching several tables go up in dribs and drabs as you had to be told when u where able to go and grab food, and watched other people waiting for more than two vegetables and waitin for a further 20mins we walked out. Shall not be visiting again and when mentioned to the head waitress that we where leaving she looked at in disgust and rudely responded. Don't bother ruined by appitite and thoroughly pee'd off!!!!!!
Don't Bother
Miserable staff long wait told when you can get carvery and then watch people there after you getting there's first!!

My First Visit To The Bread And Cheese Carvery It Won't Be
My first visit to the Bread and cheese carvery, it won't be the last. The service was good, the food was superb ! A choice of three, turkey , beef , pork, all cooked to perfection. The veg was also spot on. All this and a nice pint for under a ten pounds, you can't go wrong.

Slow Service And Lack Of Choice On The Carvery. C
Slow service and lack of choice on the carvery. Child friendly but can be noisy. Not recommended if you want the carvery because of lack of choice on meats. On both occasions recently there has only been either Beef, Pork or Ham. No 'white' meat alternative available. On Wednesday 16th feb we arrived around 12.30 and were told that Turkey was available. By the time we got to the carvery (we had starters) the Turkey was all gone! It transpired that they only cooked half a Turkey breast that day!

Everytime I Have Been To The Bread And Cheese Over
Everytime I have been to the Bread and Cheese over the last couple of months I can say we have never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly, helpful and the service is very good. The carvery has always had plenty of choice and even the other items on the menu are of a very high standard and plentiful. The tables are not on top of each other and therefore you have plenty of space around you. You are never rushed to finish your meal. Highly recommend.

It Was My First Visit To The Bread & Cheese In Ben
It was my first visit to The Bread & Cheese in Benfleet. After checking the menu on-line I was looking forward to eating there .... how disappointed I was when on arrival (a quiet afternoon) we were shown to a dirty table then informed only carvery available! They seemed very short staffed and the few staff they had need lessons in customer service! Overall a very unpleasant experience.
