Bakers Court Cafe, Basildon

I ordered a delivery and ended up with mouldy bread .. how can a cafe have mouldy bread?

Also it took a very long time to get through on the phone and was over an hour and half until we recieved it.

No other word than EXCELLENT describe this cafe. Great friendly staff who like to banter. Next time I'm in Basildon - I'll be stopping for a bite.

Was waiting for my car to be done at Formular 1 at the other end of the forecourt. They recommended I pop in to have a coffee. Arguably the 'poshest' cafe you'll ever visit with comfy leather chairs and slick back tables! I had the £2.75 special not expecting a great meal - respectful of the saying 'You only get what you pay for!'. How wrong could I be!!! This cafe is absolutely brilliant. Value for money goes without saying - and like the previous reviewer - the staff are friendly, accommodating - and I'll be bringing my hubby back for the Fully Loaded Breakfast! Great British Cafe!

This cafe/restaurant caters for everyone, the staff are polite and friendly and are eager to please and assist your every need....

The food is excellent and cooked while you wait but because it is cooked

fresh it is worth the wait.

I would highly recommend it to anyone they also cater for large functions

My brother eats at Bakers Court nearly everyday. Not because they do 10 different breakfasts (which you can change things if you want which no other cafes seem to want to do) but because they do the most amazing salads!!! It is HUGE. You get about 14 different salad items PLUS your chosen filling. Its the only salad Ive ever had that completely fills you up for the day. My friend who comes with me usually has a breakfast - NO fat or grease anywhere and the extra thick bread is the best you'll ever taste! The service and staff are absolute gems and they can't do enough to help. You've gotta try this place. EXCELLENT.

Bakers Court Cafe in Basildon offers fantastic service which doesn't keep you waiting, Great choice of cafe favourites like full English breakfasts, homecooked meals and a choice of gourmet sandwiches are availible. A big feed for excellent value, a great spot to eat befere going to work and lunchtime.

A much improved experience overall.The Adventerous range gives you something out the ordinary-for those who love cheese and marmite toasties and the more exotic.. Loads of parking space-you can easily park a big rig here. Everyone is made welcome. New owners have turned this former greasy spoon into something special for the future which will be open 24 hours...

Not enough people now that this gem of a cafe is here!

I understand that new owners have recently taken over and have added at least 50 items to the menu. Great service, good food - and the decor has improved considerably since my last visit. Keep up the good work guys. Best cafe in Basildon!

The Bakers Court Cafe in Basildon is miles above any expectations that you first have. It is a place that can be visited every day, with a varied menu all the time.

I can only see this place going from strength to strength.

Basildon, Cafe, Bakers Court Cafe - The manager runs this place with a rod of iron so don't get on her bad side!!

This place has a cult clientelle who regularly attend, especially a solid Saturday Football 'crew' who top up with their carbs before heading off for a game on Saturday afternoon!
