What A Mistake

Having been satisfied with little chef in the past albeit several years ago I thought it couldn't go far wrong again. Perhaps it was it was an hour of so before closing but I don't expect to be served up with food that has been cooked previously and reheated. My chicken breast fillet was a false description it was a processed on in breadcrumbs like ones available in supermarkets. Worse still was my wife's fish and chips. The fish was completely dried out and had gone yellow inside the breadcrumbs and the peas were barely recognisable Both these had clearly been cooked earlier and reheated. My salad looked very tired and worn

Don't Go To Little Chef Talke Stoke On Trent

Called today & upon arrival informed it was a 45min wait for food! Whilst waiting 15mins for our order to be taken my mum & I used the ladies toilets. Absolutely horrendous!! Due to my mum having to use the disabled toilets when going in there was used toilet paper on the floor which had faeces on!! When going past the men's toilet the smell was appalling! The ladies toilets were filthy & toilet paper everywhere!! Informed little chef staff who clearly didn't care!!

We ordered cheese & ham toasties one on white & one on brown! Upon waiting 45 mins they arrived but both on white, now due to the lengthy wait we ate the toasties but ham not warm & cheese not really melted! The side salad was awful as the tomatoes tasted of fish! We had waited so long we ordered extra hot drinks!

Had we have known the amount of time we had to wait & the food being disgusting we would have gone to subway!

We will never visit again which is a shame as we used to love the little chef! The place needs maintaining properly & I will be complaining to the environmental health regarding all the issues!!

What's Gone Wrong!

Having used Little Chef, Towcester on numerous occasions our last visit left much to be desired. 35 min wait after our order was placed while people who ordered after us were served first. A three egg omelette was actually three fried eggs folded in half over a filling. Trade descriptons! Back to training school for a brush up on cooking skills and management. Won't be in a hurry to eat there again.

We visited this Little Chef on Sunday 3rd July 2016 for a coffee and toilet break. We were told to find a table we were the only customers, every table had not been cleaned some not even cleared, the floor was a mess of food, wrappers and cutlery (I have the photos to prove it)we found a not too dirty table, I noticed 3 young male staff one was checking some shelves the others leaning on counter chatting, and a lady who made the drinks. People were coming in to use toilets, a lady told a staff member that there was no toilet paper in the ladies, no one reacted I went in with my own tissues and even gave some to another lady, the toilets were a mess, my partner said the men's were as well, 3 more ladies told the staff about the lack of toilet paper, when we left we challenged one of the staff as to why when so many people had told him, he had not done anything about it, he said he did not do the toilets! We walked out in disgust.You should sort out these problems as your staff are doing you no favours.I will send photos if you want them.

Sorry I ticked terrible for food below and we had no food, cannot delete it.

Unfriendly, Useless Staff

It's a wait to be seated place, we waited and then had a table pointed out to us (not taken to) on the opposite side of the room, right by the loos! I thought when you had to wait for a table it would be ready for you but when we sat down there was still dirty plates on it. They weren't busy. There is a veggie breakfast on the menu so I ordered that and our drinks. We were told there was no veggie sausages. We got our coffee and tea and waited and waited for the food. A couple who came in after us had the table next to us and their food turned up, we thought that a little strange. They complained that it wasn't what they ordered so the waiter took it away and a few minutes later it came to us, all the time cooling down. The egg was still raw on top, the food was hardly warm. It was cold and raining heavy outside and we were looking forward to something hot to eat. We were very disappointed. When my partner went to pay, the customer in front of him was asked if he enjoyed his meal, but he wasn't asked!! I tried to put a review on trip advisor but the address wasn't accepted, I wonder why, by the way the address of this place is A1 northbound, Retford, DN22 0QU

Excellent Service At Arundel, Fontwell Little Chef

We would like to set on record the outstanding service we received at the Arundel, Fontwell Little Chef at dinner on !4/08/2015 and again at breakfast on 15/08/2015. The staff were speedy, efficient and very friendly. We would not hesitate to eat there again.

The dinner menu was quite good, the breakfast menu was very good, but the outstanding feature was the attention we received from the staff who were on duty at both sessions.

Little Chef In Sourton Cross Are Amazing

little chef in sourton cross Has really friendly staff and always put a smile on mine and my wife face. There food is lovley and fresh. It's always clean and tidy. Would go back there again. Thank you again.

One Chef One Waiter To Serve 42 Customers

After writting my past review I thought it only fair to give little wolfson Trago Ltd ( trading as Little chef ) Heathersett another try to see if they have upped there game after 18 months . On my arrival there was one waitress and one chef swamped by 42 customers waiting to order and more in the car park. ( come on Wolfson everyone is cutting back on costs but not customer satisfaction and having to wait over 60 minutes just to place my order. The waitress did warn customers there would be a delay but she was telling different customers different times.)

Eventually after my meal turned up, rushed partially cooked and slapped on the plate I was only able to eat part of it, but still charged full price.

In my view this little chef is seriously under trained by staff , has lack of staff and lack of customer satisfaction. If everyone of the customers had left a positive response wolfson Trago would be revelling in the praise but in fact the majority of these customers won't be back as they had to wait to long for an undervalued service run by a money grabbing company.

I am not and have never been an employee of Wolfson Trago or Little Chef.

Grot Cafe Of The Year

On the 28th July 2014 I had the misfortune of calling at the Ferring Little Chef, on entering, the toilets smell was enough to make one walk out again. The overall appearance was not one which would attract customers. The carpets were disgusting ,chair seats were cracked

ONE TO AVIOD AT ALL COSTS. I had BEEN INFORMED THAT THIS CAFE WAS DUE FOR A REVAMP EARLIER IN THE YEAR. Failing to do this must have cost you a lot of potential customers. I hope you take some ACTION upon reading this review to rectify the present situation. We had called for three meals,but three quick drinks and we were away.
