After The Travesty Of Fight Night 2, Ea Have Reigh

After the travesty of Fight Night 2, EA have reighned in some of their poorer decision makers and restored some of the glory that made the original Fight Night one of the most sublime Beat 'em Ups of all time.. up there with the best of the SF2 series...

While there's no fireballs, spinning kicks, hundred hand slaps or spinning pile drivers, the subtlety, skill, timing and rewards are just as compelling.

The added graphical realism that the PS3 and Xbox 360 give to the whole experience, enhances the sense of power of each impact, offering a visceral feedback that encourages to hit harder, faster and with even greater accuracy.

The bold move to remove the onscreen health bars, adds and even greater sense of realism to proceedings, with the layer having to watch body language, and measure there boxer's responsiveness to determine what strategy they should employ at any given time within a fight.

I'd still like to see the Haymakers in as an option, rather than a default feature. I'd also like to see a feint system added, similar to the accidental one that the first Fight Night had... allowing you to partially throw a punch, only to cancel it and throw instead with the opposite first.... perhaps you still can.. .but I haven't managed it.

And Cutman sucks... I know you can do it automatically, but seriously... somebody at EA step in and make the control system a pleasure to use... it feel so clunky... after 3 or 4 attempts to use it, I've never gone back and use auto heal every time.

Finally... you've not bettered the training modes from the original Fight Night... bring them back please... they didn't need to be changed...

Having said all that... still one of my most played XBox 360 games... well worth the purchase, especially if you can pick it up second hand.

At First You Will Love It, But It Gets Repetitive

At first you will love it, but it gets repetitive I would only recommend it for die hard boxing fans also there are a lot of boxers, but not enough legends or famous boxers.

I Loved This Game For About A Month, But Soon Got

I loved this game for about a month, but soon got bored. This isn't a typical fighting game. You really have to practice and get your timing right. Also, playing online is not easy unless you really master the combo's.

I got bored of this after about a month, which is a short time for me, but i know a real boxing fan who has been playing it for a few months now.

Graphics are fantastic!

The Game Itself Will Keep You Entertained For A Lo

The game itself will keep you entertained for a long while with its career mode. Once you have mastered that skill the online mode is great, and it will keep you playing Fight Night Round 3 for hours. My mates and I love the game, and haven't heard about anyone not loving it!!

A must buy on the Xbox 360.
