Pros: -diverse Range Of Characters To Chose F
Pros:
-Diverse range of characters to chose from, including some of the old Mortal Kombat characters, and superhero characters from the DC universe. Each character has their own abilities, and each character performs differently.
-Game supports 1080p resolution and the backrounds are exciting and colourful.
-2 player multiplayer(offline and online) where your stats are tracked.
-Basic controls.
-New "Free fall" and "Test your might!" combat which is a little extra to the usual fighting.
-Character voices sound authentic.
-Trophy patch included now.
Cons:
-Pointless story where after a few cutscenes, you can easily predict whats going to happen. You can chose between either the DC universe or the mortal kombat story. The story is unaddictive and you can get bored easily.
-Less violent and gore compared to the previous mortal kombat games.
-Around 20 characters in total.
-No voice chat online and many connection problems which can prevent you from playing.
-Arcade mode is very unaddictive because there is nothing to earn. Once you've played it once, it becomes boring.
Overall:
At first this game is fun and interesting, but after a week, I doubt it will be played much with the exception if friends come over. Compared to the previous Mortal Kombat games, this game was a let down becuase there are less characters and no minigames. Most the gore is gone, but if you look close enough you can see some blood flying around.
This game is a novelty compared to the older games, and I can just about recommend it only if you are desperate or you can find it really cheaply, otherwise you should wait for the highly anticipated tekken 6.
7/10.
