I Bought Ea Sports Active 2 At A Pretty Good Price
I bought EA Sports Active 2 at a pretty good price, only £29.99 from Amazon. When it first went on sale it was more like £70. I recently decided to try and get into shape but loath the thought of paying out for a gym membership and signing up for a 12 month contract especially as I might not end up going that much. I have a rowing machine and some dumbbells and have tried the Wii fitness before. The great thing is that the game comes complete with a heart monitor plus a resistance band. You also get a couple of bands that register where you are (one for your arm and leg). First thing you have to do is register with EA Sports, now I can understand some people might want to track their progress online but I'm not too fussed so an option to opt out of this would be nice. Then you create your "character" and imput your build, weight and height and personalise until the character looks kinda like you.
Then it's onto the actual fitness. You start with a gentle warm up and then get onto the actual excerise. Now I didn't know which option to take, there is a 3 week cardio kick start and a 9 week plan. I went for the 9 week and this was my mistake. I'm not very fit so after only 10 mins of my 20 workout I had to give up.
It's a great way to keep fit and really does work out every muscle and the best thing is you can collapse onto your own floor and be red in the face and sweaty without anyone else having to see you. The perfect keep fit "game" for those who are scared of the gym or just want to get into shape in their own time.
