The scores are made up by hitting the right keys and tempo's. This is confirmed by on-screen graphics, which tell you if you are hitting the correct notes or not [not - as was usually the case]. You can purchase all different types of eras and songs. The Singstar 80's PS2 game is a must-have for any party, and it guarantees lots of fun.

Singstar 80s is brilliant - you need this in your life. Even if you can't sing, you find yourself getting ultra competitive, and using an Eye Toy makes things very interesting. Start by yourself with a few beers, build up the confidence, then invite your mates round for a full blown sing-a-thon. The team games are a great laugh, and combined with alcohol, this game alone can last a 24 hour session. Get all the other games too - even if you don't like the tracklisting you can fall in love with songs you didn't even know that well - this happened with Starship's 'We Built this City', Alice Cooper's 'Poison', and Marillion's 'Kayleigh'. Get the game, get your aviator shades and chequered vans, and sing like an idiot!
