Fantastic Game, Hilarious To Play With A Group Wat
Fantastic game, hilarious to play with a group watching you, or watching someone else play. Old game, but very smooth running, especially on a modern machine. It's about the only game I own, and my siblings can't avalanche quickly enough onto my computer when I let them play it!Fantastic Game! Occasional hitch when doing odd and crazy things with cheats enabled. So technically no real bad things to say about the game. This game is fantastic!

Return To Castle Wolfenstein Is A Classic Pc Game,
Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a classic PC game, although it's past its prime and isn't as popular as it use to be. It is still one of my favorite games to play, and for the price now, it's still well worth the money.
You can also pickup the free expansion to this game - Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, which was supposed to be an expansion you paid for, but was made free in the end due to technical issues with the single player.
RTCW has a wide range of maps, and is a very fun game if you like the Quake engine, along with the death match style of game. If you're looking for realism, I wouldn't suggest it. If you're looking for a fun, deathmatch, fast-paced style, then this is the game for you.

Let's Face It. Lots Of People Have Been Waiting Fo
Let's face it. Lots of people have been waiting for the Return to Castle wolfenstein PC game for a long time. I had pre ordered it and started playing as soon as it was delivered. It was finished very quickly and if it wasn't for the on line play then I would have been very disappointed.
Graphics at top level are beautiful, with nice effects. But there is nothing new in here, it's not difficult and I think the developers got carried away when they started introducing the occult into the game - it just spoils it for me. The theme and atmosphere would have been much better without zombies, ghouls and so on....
I reckon Tye is well right. When I started playing RTCW, I thought it was well ace. But as I got to mission 2 (the village) It started to get boring and it became just another war shoot em up. The zombies and that are too much but they make it different to games like medal of honor! The on-line option just adds to the fun!
i know the zombies and ghouls are a bit too much but you have it totally wrong rtcw is the best online game ever, and many people will agree with me. the online play is superb and easily beats half life or the best title of fps.

Return To Castle Wolfenstein Is A Fantastic Game.
Return To Castle Wolfenstein is a fantastic game. I am running it on an AMD XP 1700 + with GF2 Ti graphics and it's sweet. If you like PC games and you haven't played this game yet then you must be in a coma or somethin'Also consider Medal Of Honour (allied assault) has all the graphical detail of CW But is a hell off a lot more realistic.
Hey pawo
I also have an AMD 1700, 384 DDR, 7500 Radeon, xp professional, Artec internal cd rom, just bought my own copy of RTCW 6-18-02 I have done some patches on the game and my game card when ever I start playing the game I might be on for a whole game or maybe just a few seconds when I get a disconnect problem my computer locks up and I have to reboot it. Please help me
P.S. My wife wants me to find a GA (games anonymous) program to enter.

The Pace In Return To Castle Wolfenstein Is Consta
The pace in Return to Castle Wolfenstein is constant, the challenge of the next move just enough for an average game player. There are the occasional spots where your character has to use his skills and your brain cells to figure out how to get through to the next challenging stage. I had the game set at its easiest level of play, and I rechecked my choice several times to be sure I was playing the easiest version my game was so challenging. But I have loved every moment. I will play it again and again. I will definitely get the courage to play it in a more difficute level.

I Think This Return To Castle Wolfenstein Game Is
I think this Return to Castle Wolfenstein game is the best that i ever played! It's really realistic and the shape of the people is amazing. I tried this game 2 weeks ago on full power with GeForce4(Ti), Sound Blaster Audigy ,Intel P4 1.7Ghz! Amazing! Fantastic!
Now i know that the hardwear makes the game look 75% better and it's super. Now i'm waiting for Unreal2 probably the best game ever. Nobody can beat this baby but Wolfenstein is something different and real, with real weapons in real time (ages ago):)
So my advice is buy it! It's good
but if you want to see something more than 1024x... you definitely need (GeForce2MX - GeForce4) and a good Sound card
This review is so true, lets hope someone makes bots for it
soon because people are getting p****d off!

Wolfenstein 3d Was A Classic Game And Had Lots Of
Wolfenstein 3D was a classic game and had lots of cool features and I was pleasantly surprised to see them back in the re-incarnation of the game, Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Things like the plate of food and the similar baddies were all very authentic. Single Player missions are varied, with different objective types throughout. for example, stealth missions where you aren't allowed to do anything without the mission being over, missions where you sit back and let the zombies kill your enemy for you, levels where you are petrified of what is going to happen next and finally, of course - good old firepower missions where everything has a bullseye on it.
For me, I found the single player a little bit shorter than I expected and the Zombie missions were a little bit flat and tiresome. The best missions were undoubtedly the missions where you had to sneak around, commando style (with your underpants thank you very much).
The graphics overall were very impressive. The best graphical feature is the flame thrower. Never before have I seen a flame thrower look as realistic in a game. In fact, I don't remember ever seeing a flame thrower in a game - perhaps it was because nobody dared to try in case it looked pants.
The sounds are terrific and very atmospherical of your surroundings. If you go near a radar, you can hear the comms in the background, blipping and synchronising. The preset voice commands are simple yet intuitive. I have fully got used to them now so that I can have a whole conversation with my buddies. Conversations like, "I Need Ammo", "Affirmative - I'm A Lieutenant", "Danke", "You're Welcome"... all add to the effect.
Multiplayer is a whole new game to the single player mode. No zombies to be seen here, just uniforms and bullets. Axis vs Allies, Objective vs Objective. Defend or Attack - it's up to you, but the sensation of team effory is incredible. Players are separeated into 4 classes :-
Medic - is a bit more harder to kill because his health regenerates, but has limited ammo. He can also poke people with his trusty syringe and bring 'em back to life.
Lieutenant - Is full of ammo and can call in air strikes over lots of enemy heads. (shame you don't get more points for multi-kills - hehe)
Engineer - Is the brains of the bunch. He can fix weapons and plant/disarm dynamite, but again ammo is a shortage.
Soldier - I think perhaps the more annoying class of the bunch. Some people even say they are more harm than good. You really have to be careful with the rockets and the flamers as you can easily hurt your people and end up in the minus figures. A mission is hard to win when there are too many soldiers, but they can provide good cover fire when they have the sniper rifle on the beach.
So, what do I think of Return To Wolfy? Well, I think it is bloomin' marvellous, better than Quake, better than UnrealT and I might even push the boat out a little and say it even nudges Half-Life off it's pedestal. Given the choice of Hal-Life and RTCW right now on the spot - I would pick RTCWolfenstein, purely because you get a greater sense of team work when online. You must buy this game! Don't try copying it though as it won't work online without a unique CD-Key which the Master server checks everytime you join a game. Even the keygens don't work online so if you are ever going to buy one game - this is the one, right here, right now.
Rick
Much too long, but I felt the reviewer's enthusiasm is what kept his words streaming across the keys. Comparing it to the originial story was interesting, I would have wanted to hear more. What the reviewer did do, for this wonderful game, was confirm my hopes that the game would not be cheesy or drawn up only to satisfy old Wolfenstien fans.

The Multiplayer Test Version For Return To Castle
The multiplayer test version for Return to castle Wolfenstein is amazing. The graphics are superb and the gameplay fantastic, the game is never boring due to the fact that you are playing against real people. However the multiplayer test doesn't really inform us of how the actual game will play.
I believe that this game could be one of the best games of the year, with exception to Medal of Honour:Allied Assault. These two games, at first glance, seem to be very similar with the main exception that Allied Assault seems to be very realistic whereas Wolfenstein has realism but also surrealism.
I am a great fan of the first person shooter games, I bought Project IGI which had mixed reviews but I found it very good. I believe that both Wolfenstein and Allied Assault will be great, if you are going to choose between them, (ask for one of them for christmas and have both!!) then you must decide between the reality of Allied Assault against the fantastic look of Wolfenstein's surrealism.
