Far Cry 2 Is Over Hyped. I Was Really Looking Forw
Far cry 2 is over hyped. I was really looking forward to playing it so bought a pimped out pc to hit this game hard but ended up getting pretty bored very quickly. It looks ace but at the end of the day, i prefered the aliens in the first game

This Game Is A Far Cry From Good In My Opinion.
This game is a FAR CRY from Good in my opinion.
This game was hyped way too much I feel. There is absolutely no flow to this game for me and definitely no flow to the story of the game, "Story mode" seems to be a first person GTA style play with the stage far to large and vehicles far to slow, If your buying this for the single player mode DON'T this game was not meant to be played on anything but multiplayer, which sucks because all the good looking FPS games seem to be sacrificing there Single Player Mode for Multiplayer Mode. Don't get me started on the audio You can't here any speech and the ambient sounds are far to loud.

To Start Of With I Was Impressed With Far Cry 2, T
To start of with I was impressed with Far Cry 2, the graphics looked great and the story started off pretty good, it looked promising. After the initial tutorial thought it rapidly went down hill, its basically a go here, talk to him, shoot that, go back to her, get paid, sorta game. Id say every mission you are assigned will follow this format so it soon gets very tedious and boring. Another thing which eventually ground my gears was the AI, they would randomly spawn and they take a round of bullets before they hit the dirt. You will find yourself clearing out a guard post, going a couple of yards to talk to someone then returning to a fully manned post again. You may not think this is a massive problem, but eventually it'll really really bug you. In all, its a very pretty game but also very pointless. Uninstalled it very quickly.

IF i can get past the slaughter house railway car on Far Cry 2 it looks promising. it may just be me but at the slaughter house after the first mission i am told to find the diamonds. i know here they are. they are in the railway car but i cannot get in no matter what i try and i am getting fed up with being told to use my map and locater. help? And why when waiting in ambush does the character start examining his weapon after a few seconds of waiting?

After The Success Of Far Cry And Waiting Four Year
After the success of Far Cry and waiting four years for a follow up I must say its a bit of a let down.
This time your in Africa searching for someone who has armed the local gangs and have to do various missions along the way.
The game have some nice touches like wild animals running around and the graphics are stunning, however the missions are too far apart so you spend most of the game travelling from one location to another either by walking or driving and getting abushed by the bad guys.
The actual game play is good it just there isn't enough of it, you spend maybe fifteen miutes travelling for maybe two of three minutes of actal gameplay.
I played the original Far Cry over and over again but Far Cry 2 I've completed about half of it and already it's back in the box, the map is just too big with too much travelling great distances between missions it quickly becomes boring.
The plus points are the graphics and scenery are excellent, the game loads quickly and the sound it good.
When you play this game remember to save it often as it doesn't seem to autosave.
All in all what could have been a great game is let down by the size of the maps and time spent travelling around.

As Soon As You Start Any Sort Of Driving On Far Cr
As soon as you start any sort of driving on Far Cry 2 you hit road blocks every where and get battered even if you try to shoot your way out of a situation you cannot even see where the bad guys are coming from. Also need to play with subtitles as some of the speech is very poor.

I Got This With A Certain Amount Of Trepidation. I
I got this with a certain amount of trepidation. I played F.C. and liked it as it was a little bit different to what was around at the time, however, it didn't leave me in awe and it wouldn't make my top ten. FC2 sadly leaves me feeling the same way. I look at it and I'm impressed. It's got everything and more that would make up a great FPS. It just misses somewhere but I don't know where. A comparison was mentioned about Crysis however Crysis saw me more involved and a whole lot more interested in playing. For me FC2 is a game you play when there's nothing else around worth a mention. It's not a bad game. But for me it lacks something. Sorry FC2, I really did want to rave about you..
