New Super Mario Bros (Wii)

New super mario bros wii follows the same old storyline of the other games (bowser steals princess Peach, mario has to save her)though provides a new twist as the two toad brothers come along on the journey to help, 2 new powerups can be acquired and bowser enlists the hep of his children the koopa kids. The game has 9 worlds in total giving the player or players hours on end of continuous fun.

Its multiplayer mode is the stand out of the game.Up to four players can participate in the fun so its great for the whole family.

Gameplay is both challenging,addictive and great fun with some nice eyecandy

AMAZING!

New Super Mario Bros is an amazing game. The game has eight worlds, plus a secret world at the end, each one has up to 10/12 levels that you have to complete to unlock the next world. Unless you unlock cannons and you'll find out how to do that. You can either be mario, Luigi, blue toad or yellow toad in this adventure. Like on Ds the aim of the game is to rescue peach from Bowser. At the end of each world is a boss level where you have to fight one of bowsers friends then you collect a key and that unlocks the next world. At the end of the eighth world you have to go through an extra long level then at the end you fight BOWSER himself. Each world has a different theme such as world three is snowy and world four is a desert island I would reccomend this game to children or adults, boys and girls who love action and adventure.

This game takes me back to when I first played the original Mario and doesn't disappoint! It's challenging enough for veteran players (even punishing in parts), but also totally accessible by my children and their friends. The graphics are good (for the Wii) and the musical score is amazing (esp love the enemies dancing along!). You also don't have to worry (as a parent) about the violence level of the game, which is refreshing.

There are a couple of minor negatives; the controller does not take advantage of what is fun about the Wii (you hold it like an old NES controller!), and the multi-player is a bit clumsy with more than 2 people on at a time (but it is a lot of fun!).

All in all it's a must have Wii title! 5/5
