Sony PlayStation 3 Slim Console

I have been waiting to purchase the last ps3 and the day it came out. I ordered it online couple days before the release date, and it came on time with the shipping. It was a little costly cause wanted to have it as soon it came out. I was quite happy with the shipping handling from ALLHDD and that was awesome. I love your service and I would recommend to anyone. I have owned my PS3 for about 3 years now after getting fed up of constantly upgrading my PC to be able to play the latest games.

I chose the PS3 due to the free online gaming, the secondary use of the BluRay player and as a bonus the streaming capabilities.

Best gaming buy I have ever made, great games, rock solid, silent.

Roll on the PS4...

i love the ps3 excellent range of games, free internet and a host of streaming sites. top notch

the best what more can you say 10x better then the xbox360 so many add ons its unreal from speakers to remote conrols with built in game pads and keyboard plus you dont have to pay extra to play online no hiddin charges like other consoles plus you get the blueray itstant wifi and bluetooth controlers are just the right size and hold a great charge

bought for 1/8 the price of my gaming pc and is so much better in every possible way. better games, cheaper games, more reliable, better graphics, more user friendly, more features and just a much nicer experience all round. also if you do buy one which i would certainly recommend first point of action should be to buy uncharted 2 because it's quite possibly the best game of this generation if not all time. however it is not perfect. there is still just not enough games. there's a lot more games worth buying than the xbox or the wii but worst of all half assed ports of good games. countless titles that where brilliant just seem to loose their polish. regardless if you havent already buy one now.

i read one user who said he had issues with software and went back to the old model, my question is why? if you've been installing the software upgrades as they come out both the slim and the fat version run the same software. this is the first time i've ever heard of this type issue and have serious doubts as to whether the poster allowed the software to fully install or messed up something else. my buddy works at our local game store and he's heard no complaints at all since it came out last month. the biggest diff between the old fat and the new slim in hardware is a smaller, cooler running chip and a minimally different peripheral connection setup. its flat out a better design all the way around. i've worked support for ibm since 2000 and 9 out of 10 times all tech issues are the result of the end user, who i might add are 100% certain they did not cause the issue it was the hardware, software or anyone else but them. ps3 slim is a very good refinement of what was an excellent but overprice product to start, now with the price drop its a total winner.

i've had the xbox last year, price was best, nice game selection but its behind the times now. the only reason i did not initially get the ps3 was price. now thats not an issue, price is down to 299, unit is smaller and imho just as attractive as the original. more hard drive space, plays blu-rays plus all your dvds. get the 19 dollar blu tooth remote its well worth it and makes watching movies no different that with stand alone blu-ray players. video quality for games is the best, for movies top notch. unlike the xbox you don't have the giant power supply on the plug. xbox has issues with reliability not the ps3. built in wifi, easily upgradeable software and hard drive should you choose. runs much quieter and cooler than the original. some complain you have two fewer usb connections, well you still have two plus wireless connectivity so unless you regularly have four or more playing at once, so what. also shiny cover is no more, its now no longer a finger print magnet and besides nobody who buys a game console considers looks a priority, it helps if it looks good and the slim does but imho looks isn't worth an extra two hundred bucks and past sales support that premise. i am completely happy with my new ps3 slim and would never consider going to any other console at this time. oh yeah final gripes i've heard, no more ability to install a second party op system, big whoop get a pc. second and equally trivial can't play ps2 games, thats an old system what would you expect, fork out 60 bucks online and get an old ps2 if you are that attached to your legacy games. the PS3 is looking towards the future and based on the play of my newest game "uncharted" it is at the TOP of the consoles and you will not be disappointed, consider too a blu-ray player alone will run you at least 150 so add that cost to the xbox or wii and truly compare apples to apples.

when there made this slim version i dont think there tested the console out good . i had 2 broke on me one from argos give me a yellow light off death out the box . the second one faild after a software update my 3rd one i just had enough off it and took it back to get the fatter stable version .which shocked the staff in argos the slim version is very nice to look at better then the fat version but only trouble is the hard drive is under the blu ray drive so it gets a bit hot as you feel it when you eject the game after 30 mins the fan is to loud i could not take it any more . i used to have the old version before i got my xbox 360 there was sound a bit hot but better running . i think the ps3 should stay as it is there is a lot off high end parts in there to breath .and shame there didnt inculd a hdmi cable . there only £5 to buy anyway one in the box would be great as the standed lead you get is the same as a ps2 lead yellow red white job poor pictur on lcd tvs . i stick with the old version but thanks anyway sony
