This Story Is Truly Touching And I Personally Laug

This story is truly touching and I personally laughed and cried with the characters.I truly felt as if I was there with Zana in her struggle to get her sister out of her terrible situation.Although this is an amazing book I believe that Islam is portayed negativley and that the men in this book use Islam as an exuse to abuse their women. A truly wonderful and thought provoking read.

This Story Shows Just How Sick Some People Can Be,

This story shows just how sick some people can be, be it your own family. These 2 sisters have suffered too much. Personally i don't think Nadia coming back to England would be good.. She is by now a full Yemeni woman. By all means her family should be allowed to visit her. I am 1 years old, she has been there for all the years i have been alive. It would be difficult and unfait for her to come back, unless she is ready to once again, accept another major change. I really hope she is fine, I wish i could somehow contact Zana.

There Aren't Any Bad Points About A Promise To Nad

There aren't any bad points about A Promise To Nadia. Apart from how sad the story really is. My heart deeply goes out to the two ladies that had to suffer a life full of heart ache and pain.

A Promise To Nadia Tells The Truth About Slavery A

A Promise to Nadia tells the truth about slavery and arranged marriages. It made me sad to think that there are people out there that have to endure such horrors in life.

The review from Nardy 2006 seems to say that Nadia is back in England, she says that they are her Aunties,so I hope Nadia and her family are in England. What about Zana's son what has happened to him? I've read both books and both were so good, but I wish there was a third to let us know what is happening, lets hope this has had a happy ending at last.

Zana Muhsen Is A Very Brave Woman Who Just Wants J

Zana Muhsen is a very brave woman who just wants justice. It's not fair that her and her sister Nadia never had the childhood we often take for granted. I am the same age Nadia and Zana were when they were taken away and after reading A Promise to Nadia , I vow to never take my family for granted ever.

Zana Muhsen Andrew Crofts A Promise To Nadia,

Zana Muhsen Andrew Crofts A Promise to Nadia,

All I can say is wow! I couldn't stop reading this book. For someone who has never been to the Yemin, it gives you a real insight into how horrible and cruel lifestyle these people lead. The book tells a story of Zana, who escaped a life of slavery in the Yeman into which her father had sold her as a child bride, leaving behind her son, her sister Nadia and Nadia's 2 small children who she vows to do everything she can to find freedom for them. Zana is a very determined woman, she fights the British and English government which makes a gripping read.
