The Jet Engine Is A Combination Of A Coffee Table
The Jet Engine is a combination of a coffee table book that anyone can pick up and enjoy and a technical textbook that a true enthusiast can pickup to get his fix. The book has a wealth of large and detailed illustrations. Only bad point is its a paperback. This is a fabulous book. This one will be in my personal library forever.

Rolls-royce, The Jet Engine Was A Great Book In It
Rolls-Royce, The Jet Engine was a great book in its day, but you should see the new one.
Does the first edition have the author's name, if so, is it John L. Knight?
The new one has the same title as the old i.e."The Jet Engine" but it is totally different - much more interesting!
What is the new one called?

Rolls-royce, The Jet Engine - The Rolls-royce, The
Rolls-Royce, The Jet Engine - The Rolls-Royce, the Jet Engine book is simply the best text on aerospace gas turbine engines there is. The book covers everything from how it all began with the early Whittle engines and how gas turbines work right through to maintenance and overhaul. The book is designed for aerospace engineering students but will answer any questions on the subject.
The text is easy to read with very few unnecessary big words, only those that need to be there due to technical aspects. The diagrams and photographs are no-nonsense and straight to the point, showing you only what you need to see.
The book also tells the histories of individual British-built jet engines and has photographs of each as well as those manufactured by Rolls-Royce. Excellent book and value for money, £15 for anything from Rolls-Royce can't be bad. It's a life-saver in my case though.
