To Be Honest, This Book Is A Complete Waste Of Mon

To be honest, this book is a complete waste of money, it is highly repetive, and the only useful tips on the book is to live your life in the moment and forget about the past and not spend to much time in the future, hence the title.

The book is not written in a common sense format it is gibberish and trys to put the fault on you for not understanding this rubbish, i have read a few books and some basic self help books from a local library would be more use.

The Personal Experience Of Eckhart Tolle The Autho

The personal experience of Eckhart Tolle the author was particularly appealing. The feeling of some of the seekers can resonate with this experience. Tolle is not a religious person or connected with any spiritual tradition, but he did have a profound experience that completely transformed his life and hence readers of similar experiences have a hope to achieve the experience.

The book was written in simple to understand language for one and all.

The essence was clear. The emphasis was placed upon the existence of the present moment and to make use of that "present" (gift). This message was succinct. The very act of watching the thoughts puts us in the present moment. These are not new concepts. The analogies were used effectively to bring out to explain very deep and fundamental issues about life, ourselves (body, mind, pure consciousness, relationships etc), and the universe in simple words.

He describes a number of simple, meditative techniques which is effective. (Not easy to practice/ power of our mind to be still).

He clearly outlined the process of letting go of our mind which deceives us to think it is who we are by creating fear and confusion in our thoughts.

So essential awareness of thoughts, living by the moment, by BEING not just DOING can we empower ourselves and know who we really are. is the real essence of the book.
