I Was Drawn To Victor Korzh's Red Star Under The B
I was drawn to Victor Korzh's Red Star Under the Baltic by the title on the spine and really wanted to read the book when I discovered it was about the Soviet submarine fleet in the Baltic during WWII. Something I had never read or even heard about.
The book is the account of Victor Korzh, who was the senior engineer on the submarine journeys to flight the Germans.
It is a heartwarming account of the hardships endured by the Soviet people during the war and deals not only with life on board but in the city of Leningrad and the stuggles of the Soviet navy to keep its submarines at sea during the spring and Summer.
Korzh's account of life on board covers the mundane to the very detailed and gives an insight into the political life off and on board the submarine.
