If You Love Medieval History, This Book To My Mind
If you love Medieval history, this book to my mind is a must. It is facinating in the way it brings to life the nuts and bolts of putting an invasion force of 12,000 men plus horses into the field on the other side of the Channel, and even more amazingly how you go about financing the whole operation.
This book also lets you into the mind of this intensely religious man who was totaly convinced of the righteousness of his mission to regain his possesions in France. It goes on to prove this man was capable of long and short term strategic planning that would put modern leaders to shame. Ifonly we could bring him back, what would he make of our leaders of today?
