Portia knows that the only way she can avoid the incarceration of marital imprisonment is to flee before her brother auctions her to the highest bidder. However, as she escapes from her ducal sibling, a terrible storm strikes. Heath sees the drenched rat on the road and offers Portia sanctuary from the weather, which she accepts.
Heath wants his guest who reciprocates his feelings. However, he knows she is not for him as his family curse prevents his marrying. Not long after their first encounter, Heath accuses Portia of trying to force a marriage with him. Instead of breaking down hysterical, she realizes he has offered her a plan to elude her sibling and another horrendous season of being on display to the Ton. Heath soon realizes curse be damned as he wants to rescue her from the husband mart of London permanently.
TOO WICKED TO TAME is a fun Regency romance starring two interesting protagonists. Portia gains courage from her predicament while Heath turns cowardly from his sudden desire for her. The storyline is fast-paced and fun, as the lead pair struggle with love, though her too-avaricious brother still plans to sell her to the highest bidder.
