For an article Brooke accompanies Jake on his job. Watching him, she begins to better understand her family and herself as she begins to comprehend that Jake follows the golden rule in which he owns enough gold to make his own rules.
This is an interesting contemporary romance starring a person seeking safe stability after the wild out of control lifestyle of her family and a daredevil who leads head first into danger. The story line is well written, however the treatment of nice Texas Baby Everett by his best friend and his fianc e who leap into each other's arms is inappropriate as he deserves better from them. Readers will enjoy Tanya Michaels' entertaining tale but the third wheel to the triangle was done wrong by those who knew better.
