Simon Mawer, The Glass Room

I read this book and i think the author has so wonder fully put out her thoughts into this amazing book of fiction. I just love this book. thanks a lot for your outstanding contribution to us readers

This book was incredible. The central feature of the novel being the glass room itself, it adds deep ideas to many of the events which the novel describes. Its fragility is shown in sections where the war comes to Czechoslovakia, but this is after we see the metaphorical strength it has to the family who live there. The historical events of the first half of the twentieth century are deeply interwoven into the story so we see the effects they have on everyday characters. A book of astounding beauty and depth, with a wonderfully intricate control of language, I cannot recommend it enough.
