Alistair Beaton, A Planet for the President

This is the best book I have read in the past two years.

It is that rare thing;: a political satire where an extensive knowledge of politics is not needed to enjoy the book.

Basically it is about a fictional American president, suspiciously similar to the real one, who is unbelievably stupid in his actions.

I don't want to spoil the plot so I shall just say, please read this book because it is immensely enjoyable and is interesting in that it is written in a very modern way, but has the plot and character depth of a good novel.
