David Wiesner, Sector 7

This book is enchanting and fun. I first found Michael Weisner's beautiful illustration art in an exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art. It is too wonderful. This was my two grandsons' favorite book for years. I cannot count how many times they chose this book for their bedtime story. It allows both the children and the adult "reader" to use their imaginations based on the illustrations. The only bad point is it's out of print in the U.S.

David Wiesner is an amazing storyteller. He is only the second person in history to win the Caldecott Medal three times. Sector Seven won the Caldecott Honor Medal, and is a wonderfully playful and imaginative story about a boy who is befriended by a cloud, high atop the Empire State Building.
