This Is Set In Alaska At The Turn Of The Century I

This is set in Alaska at the turn of the century in an isolated community. A young man is accused of murder, so he runs away. His mother tries to find him as she is convinced that he is innocent, and the book tells of her journey as well as the lives of other people in the community. It is a gentle story, despite the subject matter, and it is good to see how peoples lives are intertwined in unexpected ways. Well worth a read...
