Page Turning Thriller
I found the book to be meticulously researched and with a whole host of realistic characters. It was to me very much in the style of Frederick Forsyth, with the characters brought on an international suspense filled chase. The plot keeps twisting and turning and leaves the reader in suspense until the end. Although the action takes place in many locations, the writer is very obviously Irish as his two chief characters, the policeman and the terrorist are both Irish and he sets them off against each other very well. I read the book straight through and I found it frighteningly realistic. The theory that Al Qaeda would do something like this is all too believable. The author seems to know his subject matter very well and the fact that much of the action mirrors what was actually happening in the world throughout the summer of 2011 lends it even more credence and adds to the realism. If you want a thriller that holds your attention from start to finish, buy this one! I found I immediately empathized with the characters - all of them. Surprisingly, I even empathized with the bad guy as the author gives him a human face and explains how he became the bad guy. I think the cover says he takes you into the mind of the killer - believe me, he does and at times you find yourself hoping he won't get caught! This book is alarming, very believable and thrilling. It keeps you turning the pages - something happens in each chapter as the author keeps your attention. If you like a good thriller which is largely based on factual events, this is for you.

Bin laden strategy 'foretold' in this book - award winning novel from first time Irish author - electric, absolutely brilliant. This was a wonderfully graphic fast paced journey round the globe culminating in the suspense filled finale.
