Beginning Ubuntu Linux: From Novice To Professiona
Beginning Ubuntu Linux: From Novice to Professional is highly recommended for anyone interested in installing the latest & greatest version of Ubuntu, Hardy Heron. The authors have obviously invested a lot of time & testing in the writing of this book, the information is accurate and complete for the average user to get the most out of their Ubuntu experience. I purchased Edition One when I first started using Ubuntu over 2 years ago and it proved an invaluable resource in learning how to use Ubuntu.
The Third Edition of "Beginning Ubuntu Linux" was released in June 2008 and is completely up-to-date for Ubuntu 8.04, which is the best version of Ubuntu to date. If you want to have a choice of an operating system, without worrying about spyware, trojans, viruses, or other malware, this book and Ubuntu Linux are for you.
This Book Has Been Promoted For The Novice Or Prof
This book has been promoted for the Novice or Professional yet caters to neither. Aunt Betty will find the author assumptions and lack of step-by-step instructions fustrating, while the professional will find the lack of substance and gloss comparable with that of a Windows help file. In either case the reader with be both disappointed and unrewarded with their efforts only to be demanding a refund.
