How Come There Are Only 3 (4 Now) Reviews For This

How come there are only 3 (4 now) reviews for this masterpiece. I am very widely read, and must say that nothing comes close to the originality, humour and pace of these books. Read the first chapter and never put down again.

The Triology Is Mainly About Finding 'dust'-partic

The triology is mainly about finding 'dust'-particles in the air. It's about how different cultures and countries and worlds think of dust and try to find information on it.

The first book is about Lyra mainly. It maps her discovery of the world her discovery of the things she can accomplish with the alethiometer. The adventures are thrilling and emotional as she is kidnapped and escapes. It moves on to her discovering her parents and realising they are both traitors. Without giving to much away I can say the end of the triology sees her having entered numerous worlds and discover different people searching for "dust".

When she meets William, they continue the adventures and find it easier together. Running from villains escaping awkward situations. Althrough the books(two) you can sense a romantic entanglement but I shall not reveal any more!

Most the way through although we do not think as Lyra as in-human she is different and although sometimes we feel emotionally connected to her-the turning point would have to be when she discovers something important to herself. Love. We feel a sense of her inside of us.

I believe the book represents our world more than we think upon reading this. We all know something about the same thing. All countries and cultures of our world, but we are unable or should I say we won't communicate which puts us a step behind knowing anything.

I would like to thank Phillip Pullman for this wondorus book!

Philip Pullman, His Dark Materials: It Took Me So

Philip Pullman, His Dark Materials: It took me so long to actually get into these books, I think I must have read the 1st page of Northern Lights about 100 times. But when I finally got into it, there was no going back. I am now a dedicaded fan of Philip Pullman, and have made it my mission to read all his books.

I thought the whole book was absolutely brillient. I've never read anything like it in my whole life.

The Amber Spyglass, more than the other two, has made me think about everything, about all the possibilities of what is really in the world. The trilogy had really opened my mind to everything around me and has enlightened me. It had make me think about the possibilities of maybe that what Philip Pullman says is almost true, and that he is running on fact, not fiction.

The ending was so moving, I've never cried at a book before, but the Amber Spyglass did have its moments, like when she had to leave Pan at the crossing the land of the dead, and when Will had to leave. It was so moving.

It says be specific, I can't, its just the whole trilogy blew my mind away, its the best book ever to be written. I will read them over and over again.

His Dark Materials Is Written Mainly From The Chil

His Dark Materials is written mainly from the childrens (lyra and wills) point of view. The main character, Lyra, is a very charasmatic, feisty girl. The story tells of Lyras fated future of which she is completely unaware. Along the way she meets some amazing people and creatures all of which are drawn to her and her cause. Overall these books are wonderfully written and suitable for adults as well as children. Highly reccommended!

Philip Pullman's Dark Materials Are By Far The Gre

Philip Pullman's Dark Materials are by far the greatest books I have ever read. As intellectually thrilling as they are beautifully written. The originality astounds me and the bravery of the plot is incredibele.

I despise the end of The Amber Spyglass it's rare that anything, book, film or anything else could make me cry but this did. Though to me it could be the only ending that there could be.

Anybody with any brains at all will read these books and love them!

His Dark Materials Is A Book So Complex, And Descr

His Dark Materials is a book so complex, and described in such detail, you have no doubt in your mind about any scene or anyone's personality. It has clear relationships of friendships, love and hate throughout the book, as well as less clear relationships, such as between Mrs. Coulter and Lord Asriel.

The book is a rollercoaster of twists and turns, with surprises around every corner, pulled together beautifully with Phillip Pullman's descriptive writing. The way he uses word makes even the strangest events seem familiar, as if you were Lyra or Will. I would definately reccommend it to you, as it is probably the best book you will get a chance to read.
