This is a really harrowing tale that intertwines two differant story lines happening in the same class of children. It's brutally honest about the life of a child which consists of this: Bully or be Bullied. Alex (the main character) Chose to be a bully along with everyone else the first time around... until it spirals out of control. When there is a horrible accident, nobody sees Michael Bailey ever again. Two years later a new girl called Lauren arrives. She's new, she's differant and it's starting again. What can Alex do? She is desperate to warn the new girl about what can happen to her, but Lauren's intent on keeping the most important rule of the playground: don't tell. This is the story of when you're caught in the middle.
