I Loved it!!!! I thought it was written with real empathy to the situation but also felt that there was a 'bit' of fairytail' involved!! I could not put it down and was inthralled by the 'stories' involved!! xxxxxx Great book!!!!!

A book I could not put down for a second, I even took a chance in reading it whilst I was working.

It was a read that made me want to cry at the same time as laugh.

Because Of The Large Family, I Found Myself Having

Because of the large family, I found myself having to keep turning the pages back.

I think that it would have been better if Miss Taylor had scaled it down a bit.

It is with great regret that I think that the book is not all factual and shows how, after fifty years Miss Taylor was led into believing the tales her family told her.

I think that the book has racial overtones and she shows no regard to the remaining members of the family.

I would suggest that if Miss Taylor writes another book, to do her research first and consult people to see if she has the facts straight.

I Recently Read Roberta Taylor Too Many Mothers Bi

I recently read Roberta Taylor Too many Mothers biography and I Loved it. It was brutal, honest and informative. The swearing was a bit much, but it was in context. Extremely hard book to put down.

As One Of The Family Members That The Story Is Abo

As one of the family members that the story is about, I can confirm my review is factual and the information is true, too many mothers is a book that is not factual as you would expect from a biography, it is very dangerous to mix fact with fiction and Roberta Taylor's researchers sadly did not do their homework.

Too Many Mothers By Roberta Taylor Is A Good Book

Too Many Mothers by Roberta Taylor is a good book which tells the story of close nit southern family, who are very working class and what come with it i.e. poverty and violence.

What makes this a good read are the dynamics of the family and how they come together; with some parts being very humorous and light hearted, and others being quite dark!

It can also be difficult to read due to the size of the authors family; as I was reading it I was trying to figure out which character was related to who.

I found it to be an unstoppable read, as the family were far from the realms of 'normality'.

Roberta Taylor Has Written Her First Novel, To Be

Roberta Taylor has written her first novel, to be published on approximately 10 November 2005, entitled "Too Many Mothers", published by Atlantic Books, ISBN 1843543001.

The book's subject matter is a recollection of her childhood in East London, her father absent and, I understand, whom Ms Taylor is still searching for. Perhaps I should tell Ms Taylor I am a Genealogist?

Roberta Taylor is much much more than a highly accomplished and experienced stage actress, highly respected in the theatre world.

Ms Taylor is currently achieving growing worldwide recognition, both rapidly, and at long last, in television drama ("The Bill", midweek, ITV, and the forthcoming "Bleak House" to be shown on BBC this autumn).

I make no mistake in being clairvoyant and highly rating this book!
