All In All I Was Expecting More From 'the Rabbi's

All in all I was expecting more from 'The Rabbi's Daughter'. I think because this book was a real story the details stretched out and there was a lot of Jewish terminology which you either had to guess what it might mean (if it did not explain) and read on, or look the word up (which I was not bothered to do). The story was touching and believable but were there enough events to make the story interesting? Im not sure. The front cover reads as 'A true story of sex, drugs and orthodoxy.' The sex and the drugs relates to flashbacks of Reva's rebellious youth, but the story was mostly to do with the struggle of Reva's marriage and her ultra orthodox Jewish husband. It was sad, and there was a sad ending, but I was left thinking 'was that it?'

Slightly disappointing.
