John Peel, Margrave of the Marshes

The John Peel phenomenon kind of passed me by, and it was only made clear to me what a big hitter he was in the music business when he actually passed away. John Peel, Margrave of the Marshes was a real eye opening read for me, and proved a great opportunity to learn more about this guy who obviously touched the hearts of so many.

It's a witty and poignant piece of work, that was started by John and finished by his widow Sheila. Parts of it are very sad, but it is a very worthwhile read. I can only recommend this book.

I'm sure the hardcore Peel fans will love it even more than I did.
