Go Buy Carl Merritt, Inside The Cage, If You Want
Go Buy Carl Merritt, Inside The Cage, if you want a real gritty eye opening read this is the one for you, I'm normally a chic lit person or a bio but this has made me want to pick up more books of the fighting world, would never compare Carl to Lenny McLean but it certainly made me want to read about all the boys in this big nasty world who are really just doing what they have to to provide for their family.

The Fantastic Story Of A Mans Life In The Illegal
The fantastic story of a mans life in the illegal world of so called 'cage fighting'. This guy has seen and done stuff I would never have believed possible and it is a real eye-opener to a naive twenty something year old girl I can tell you!!! A must read for anyone who thinks they have done what they can to make ends meet.
The story starts when Carl is a young lad in London and leads us through the downs and few ups in his younger and older life when he got involves with... what I would refer to as... unsavoury characters, to him they are the boss...makes my boss look great!!!! An unusually uplifting book which made me will him on and 'fight' so to speak for what was right.
Couldn't put it down, read within two days of starting and would do anything to meet Carl and see the sort of person he is today. Unbelievable that this goes on and I have never come across it before!!!!!!
A brilliant read for anyone around the London area as places you have been shopping/eating/clubbing/gambling or generally passed by are featured.
Couldnt agree more with both the comments especially Cherubscherry , i picked the book up at the airport and had nearly half it read before i got on the plane and it was supposed to be a book to read on my holiday !! What a guy , total respect for what he went through and how he turned out?!
Carl has another book out called "fighting to the death" , was going to buy it today but it seems to be the same story , has anyone read it?
