I Really Enjoyed This Book From The Moment I Start

I really enjoyed this book from the moment I started reading it. I liked how the chapters alternated between Allen and Sandra and showed their perspectives on what was happening. It gave you a clear picture of how the characters were feeling. I would often start reading it and wouldn't be able to put the book down because it was so well written. I could actually visualize what was happening through each chapter. It is a beautifully written book that is inspiring. I would read it again and again.

I Normally Wouldn't Read What At First Glance Appe

I normally wouldn't read what at first glance appears to be the biography of a dog, but I got Endal as a present for someone, read a few pages, and was hooked!

It's an incredibly moving story of a family coming to terms with a man's severe injuries, including the loss of most of his memory. And it's tragic to read that of all the service-men injured in the Gulf War, only 5 marriages have survived. But having read this book I can really understand why. And it's a sure bet that Allen and Sandra's marriage wouldn't have survived without the appearance of super-dog Endal.

And boy, what that dog is capable of! It puts my own lazy pooch to shame: operating cashpoint machines; paying bus drivers and bringing back the ticket; unloading washing machines; or putting Allen into the recovery position! Extraordinary.

I wonder if they'll let me do a trade-in at Battersea Dogs Home for my old mutt..? Oh no, he's giving me that hurt look again. I'm sure he knows what I'm thinking...
