Stuck in long safari queue for 3 hours! Toilet and baby changing facilities were appalling! Eating facilities not very clean. Souvenir shop a real rip off for cuddly toys

West Midlands Safari Park!! We Went On A Bank Holi
West Midlands Safari Park!! We went on a bank holiday so I expected it to be busy driving around Safari Park. I recommend getting there early as it got quite busy around 1pm. We had a pretty long 1 1/2 hour tour of the 4 mile animal section, this was due to delays caused by people blocking both lanes to stay with friends in other cars and take pictures whilst they hung out the windows chatting to each other causing tail backs. As for the animal section it was good my girlfriend & 4yr old daughter really enjoyed it, but looking a the WMSP £4 brochure there should have been wolves?? One annoying thing was the patrol vehicles constantly flying around the place driving backwards and forwards chasing away the animals we had come to see when they should be there primarily to watch over and hurry along any vehicles holding up the flow of traffic and stop acting like they are skilled experts driving a herd of elephants through the Serengeti.
Over all the animal section was good although I would strongly recommend doing this early when the park opens or late in the day.
THE THEME PARK RIPOFF!
The Theme Park after seeing the seals, creepy crawlies etc.. which was quite good my daughter wanted to go on the Wild River Rafting ride so we rushed down to one of the coin operated ticket dispensers and bought 3 tickets for £6 by this time it had started raining really heavy so we rushed over to the ride gave them our 3 tickets for three people only to be told that we required 2 tickets each which would of cost us £12 for one ride on a water slide!! rip off! By this time we were trying to get out of the rain so I politely asked a member of staff with attitude could we please stand under the shelter until the rain goes off to which he replied NO! And put the chain across the barrier. After this ordeal we went back to the coin machine to check where they do state that you need 2 tickets each for some rides. After looking at the WMSP website the wrist bands look like a better option but still expensive if you just want to go on one ride Adult Wristband £11.00 each Child Wristband £10.50 each.
All in all considering how unfriendly the theme park staff are and there prices for old rides you are better off just getting there early and seeing most of the animals advertised and take a pack lunch with you.

I Went To West Midlands Last Year With My Nan My G
I went to west midlands last year with my nan my grandad and my couusines we had a great time in the theme park the quees werent to long and the staff where helpfull itts best to buy the wristbands then you dont have to get a ticket on every ride you go on then. The only sort of bad thing was the zoo part because it took a very long time in the car to go round so itts hard if you have young children in the car etc etc.. But all in all itts very good very clean and good place to go if your looking for atractions and animals.. would definetly advice to friends and family as good day out. It was very good value for the money and for what was there. Hope this was helpful.:)
