Fantastic Hands On Zoo!!
Monkey zoo is a fantastic place for hands on with the animals! The first part is walk through cages so that your actually in the animals enclosure with them. There's lemurs, giant tortoises, small monkeys, iguanas etc plus they have crocodiles, chimps, parrots, guinea pigs, degus etc etc etc!!
When you pay to get in you will be asked if you want to buy a bag of food for the monkeys & lemurs, it is sooo worth doing it as the small creatures will come from all around plus you'll get some FAB photos! Then you will have a parrot or cockatoo placed on you for a souvineer picture to be taken (cost €8 but if u dont want one dont let him take the photo, it saves on ink costs) If you remember, grab some fruit before you go as the animals LOVE that! There is a cage with 3 chimps about 3/4 way round, take a bottle of still water and the chimp will put her bottom lip through the bars for you to pour water in her mouth, she is sooo clever!!!
One of the cheapest days out in Tenerife, much cheaper than jungle park & loro park

Really, really good little zoo just on the outskirts of Los Cristianos. We take our family there everytime we are over in Tenerife - kids love it.
Best part is undoubtedly the monkey enclosures which you walk through. Take some grapes as they really like them and will climb up your arm and sit on your shoulder eating them. Be careful though as they then have a tendency to smash fruit into your hair for fun. Loads of great photo opportunities.
It is 10' to get in and takes 2 or 3 hours to walk around although you can take as long as you like, It's also very cheap to get to as it's very close by.
Don't mniss the monkey park when you visit Tenerife!

Went to the Tenerife Zoo Monkey Park, Los Cristianos in may 2009.Great place to visit,able to get up close and personal with the lemurs and spider monkeys. feeding them out of your hand they were very friendly recommend it highly.Take food with you for the animals.Great day out.
