Lovely Ramble With Animals
Lived in cambridge 50 years first visit. What a treat. Animals happy and very well looked after. Went quite early and animals rather sensibly stayed snugly in bed.as it warmed up they emerged. Once you got the concept of big natural enclosures it was really nice to stroll back and see what had come out. Some of the more slothful animals such as tapirs who only rouse themselves for food get fed at certain times and it's well worth catching these as you get really close up views. They did come out later when it was warmer to graze. The keepers were really friendly and knowledgeable and were obviously much attached to their charges who liked them in return. You could see a bond. Which was nice. The petting zoo was brilliant no fluffy bunnies and the odd snake but really interesting and unusual animals. We had a skink, a tortoise and of all things a very large cockroach! Personally I don't like insects. But the keeper was so sweet and so proud of his cockrosch that I overcame my distaste and stroked it and ended up fascinated and much taken with it. Although we only had a baby with us we could see there were lots of play areas dotted around to amuse children who either couldn't see the animals or needed a little distraction. Play areas were dotted round so you didn't have to walk back to a central play area each time, and it was easy to catch up to the rest of your party. Cafe was good and reasonably priced. Rntrance fee was very reasonable for a day out. Altogether a lovely experience will definitely return and well recommended.

Linton Lion Experience Was Brilliant

It's Ighhhttt / Pretty Sick!
Hello, and welcome to our review. We visited Linton Zoo today, and let me tell you something, it was INSANE!!!!!!!! Basically we started off by parking the car up in the car park, and we were welcomed by a very welcoming woman. Then we made our way to the toilet, which was garnished with flowers and very clean. After relieving our bladders from the long drive, we made out way through to the entrance and found many exotic birds. Please let me tell you something ELSE!! Straight after the birds you end up with a couple of lions just chillin! IT WAS MAD!! I don't want to spoil anything else for you, but it was an amazing day out, for real!!! The only downside is that the sign post aren't that well laid out, we almost missed the blinkin' kangarooooos!!!! AND ZEBRAS!!!!! But if you're looking for a great time and to see some fun lovin' animals, you're heading to the right place!!!
Thank you very much for reading our review, good luck with your animal adventures.
Your's faithfully,
Tom and Lauren

Just spent the day at linton zoo and had he best day. met the lemurs with Mikey which was the absolute highlight he was really knowledgeable and made the experience great. Lots of other animals brought out for a real hands on experience. Had a baked potato in cafe which was lovely and very welcome. would definitely visit again.
Only addition i would like to see is some anti bacterial handwash near to where you meet animals otherwisw you have to keep trekking over to the car park to the toilets.

We Had A Fantastic Day Out At Linton Zoo, Great Va
We had a fantastic day out at Linton Zoo, Great value for money with every member of the family young to old really enjoying themselves. In a great location easily accessibly from the M11 Linton Zoo has an amazing variety of Animals in very natural wild-like surroundings (I loved the Lions the best) Very helpful friendly staff happy to answer any questions. The kids really enjoyed asking about the Animals habitat and characteristics and I'm sure will return back to school next week passing on their new found knowledge and showing off their piece of hair from the male Lions mane !! The Animal Encounter where we got to get up close to several animals including a blue tongued skink, a guinea pig and even got to hold a milk snake (we had a fab picture taken and brought it home to show all our friends) was definitely one of the highlights of our day. We loved every minute and cannot wait to go back next year.. Thank you for a very special day out with some fantastic memories :)

Thank You Linton Zoo
Thank you for such a lovely day with our 3 grandchildren. The 3rd time we've visited. We don't normally visit zoo's but Linton is the exception. Having come away from other zoos feeling very sad and never wanting to repeat the experience, what a pleasure to come to Linton. The animals look so healthy and happy, and in such beautiful natural surroundings. The breeding programme throughout the zoo is very impressive. Wow! Home bred lions being sent to Uganda. Now, you can't better that, and it's a well known fact that unhappy animals do not reproduce. Perfect place to take little people, where they can be educated about so many endangered animals. Nice picnic areas with tables scattered around, where you can sit in comfort with your picnic, either in a shady corner, watching the animals or your little ones as they play in the childrens play area. Today the lions were having a really relaxing sleep in the shade of the tree, after spending the last 8 days mating !! Hopefully some more babies in the autumn.
Fun And Friendly
We were greeted with a warm welcome (on a cold day) and got to meet some animal inhabitants before walking through the main doors.
A large array of animals in good enclosures that have great visability.

Fantastic, Family Friendly Day Out.
I recently visited Linton Zoo with my partner and our two young sons (aged 1 and 3).
We had a fantastic day even though the weather wasn't great. Max, our 3 year old loved the 'hands-on' experience with the reptiles at the Animal Experiences. We spent ages trying to mimic the kangaroos and learning about the more exotic animals (I'd never met a tapir before). Our 1 year old was amazed by the parrots and spent the whole time screeching with delight.
The animals living condition were absolutely faultless and it was great to see such a variety of creatures being care for so well.
A very highly recommended day out.

Fantastic Experience For All
I took my son to Linton Zoo as a treat and in his words he had "the best day ever". We saw so many animals that we had never seen before and learnt so much. We also did the lemur experience and spent half an hour feeding the lemurs and learning all about them from our lovely helper, Patricia. We really couldn't have had a better time. My other children are now very jealous and we will all be returning very soon. Staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to give us a lovely time. I would reccommend the zoo for everyone. Thanks Linton for a very special day.
Well, we also love the zoo in our family. When I first had baibes a wise women told me to take my kids to the zoo because it is such a wonderful multi-sensory experience. You can see, smell, hear & touch plants & animals. It's a great learning place- for everyone from little baibes to really old baibes. That same wise lady usually gets our family a zoo pass, so we have been to several zoos in our travels. So, the only zoo that I know of that rivals San Diego (both in my opinion & in the polls) is the Columbus Zoo. It's a Jack Hanna Zoo with about 7000 animals. (San Diego has just over 4000.) You don't find more than that unless they are counting aquariums. Another great zoo is the National Zoo (DC). I also really like the Cleveland Zoo. It's actually amazing to me how much better the zoos are in the east. (More taxes, I guess.) However, I do think the Oakland Zoo & SF Zoo are pretty good now they they have make some improvements. Here are some other good zoos you should check out if you get the chance: Pittsburgh, Philly, Bronx, Phoenix, Cincinnati. (I also hear the Indy Zoo is good, never been there.) Another zoo that I want to go to is the one in Chicago (called by another name). There are also some great aquariums & zoo like places, like Sea World, that are amazing. Have Fun!
