Poor Value For Money.

Have been to Crealy in Devon and enjoyed it so expected a similar experience. What an absolute let down. Arrived to find the rollercoaster was out of action due to essential maintenance but as we had travelled a fair way decided to stay. We paid nearly £60 for our family only to find the park has two water rides and the beast for the older children/adults after that there really are only slides and play areas which I can take my kids to any time. There were water walkers, bungee jumpers and a boating lake with canoes, but these were all extra ranging from £3 to £5 per person, disgusting after paying £60 already.

At no time during the day was the roller coaster being worked on so I can only assume there just wasn't enough staff to run it. The water rides were slow, again I think due to lack of staff.

I have contacted Crealy but received absolutely no response from them, customer care obviously not very high on their list of priorities. Their promise of a 'fantastic day out, guaranteed' is a joke, unless you want to shell out more money to go on things that should've been included.

Crealy in Devon, Great. Crealy in Cornwall, Dire!!

Don't Know What Cornwall's Crealy You Lot Have Been To But..

Fantastic. Pricey but worth it, We are crealy members and are therefore frequently at both parks and both of our boys prefer Cornwall's Crealy, the animals are all in exceptional condition and for teenager there are rides such as 'the beast', The roller coaster and best of all the log flume!

For the mums and dads, it is a fantastic location just to sit back and take in the breath-taking scenery. I would strongly recommend to anyone, especially at Halloween as the children get to choose their own pumpkins from the field and enter carving competitions.

As for the other reviews- Sure, it has it's faults; JUST LIKE ANY TOURIST orientated theme park, but it doesn't have as many additional harges as places such as Flambards.

Seriously, ignore the other reviews, this park is big, with wide open spaces and acres of indoor play areas for the younger children. don't be put off by other people.

Visited Creally In January As We Thought Enough In

visited creally in january as we thought enough indoor entertainment to keep kids happy. although we realised most of the park was closed we paid £32.00 for 2 adults two children. went into indoor play area to find it colder inside than the outside with no heating on when staff were asked if we could turn on the patio heaters we were told sorry we have run out of gas after 20 minutes the children were complaining that their feet were to cold with no shoes on and we were to cold sitting waiting for them spent 30 mins looking round one ride and we were out after just 1 hour how they expected staff too work in such conditions let alone expect people to pay good money to enter is beyond belief very dissapointed

Creelys - Brochure Looked Good - We Had Three Kids

Creelys - brochure looked good - we had three kids - family of five - came to about 60 quid - not cheap - but what you'd expect for something good. Was very disappointed when in the complex. Actually a lot less to do than first appeared. Lots of stuff not working. A couple of half decent (but dirty looking) 'attractions' had surcharges. Rollercoaster had broken down (only been open a couple of months). A big slide was also closed for some reason. Despite being told that all kids needed to use cleaning gel after petting animals, just empty bottle in there. Lots of sllides looked tatty, dirty, old, and neglected. It looks like a place where the owners have long lost interest and are prepared to let it languish as a dull, dismal, disappointing place to take kids on rainy day. Kids thought it was okay, but we were done after a couple of hours. honestly not good value for money.

My Boys 5 + 9 Loved It, But It Is Definatly Not Fo

My boys 5 + 9 loved it, but it is definatly not for older children. The rides are good fun for primary school under 11's but older children will soon run out of things to keep them entertained. The new roller coaster is very small but good fun, but again teenagers will probably not be impressed. Plenty of slides and play equipment and enough rides for a full day but watch out for the log flime its the wettest ive ever been in a theme park!

Downside - It is a bit pricy £55 for the family and some rides such as the walking on water are an additional £3.50 which is a real con. I would also agree with one of the reviews below its not as good a Crealy Devon. However, it is still a good day out.

I Agree With The Review Below. My Kids Love It At

I agree with the review below. My kids love it at Crealy. We went recently as they have opened a new ride - a seamonster rollercoaster called Morgawr. We did have to queue a bit to get on it but it was worth the wait! Its not too scary, I wouldn't say it was white knuckle but my kids couldn't get enough of it! It is really fast and very twisty!

This Was The Second Time In A Month We've Visited

This was the second time in a month we've visited Cornwall's Crealy, after buying an annual pass on our first visit this year. Despite an hours drive with young children we feel it is definitely worth the trip.

Our sons are 3 and 5 and absolutely love it at Crealy, they have to be dragged out of there at closing time! Which of course means that we love it! Our eldest son loves being able to handle the animals and feed the lambs and kids their milk. Both of them have a great time playing on all of the slides and outdoor play areas and spend most of their time in the Haunted House.

We used to come when my oldest son was a toddler, and there's loads for that age group to do too. I can imagine that teenagers might find it a bit tame, but it depends on the teenager really, as even I can find fun in some of the slides. I would say that if you come with only one child then it would be better if you're prepared to play with them, as a lot of the attractions are play park type stuff.

Referring to some of the other reviews, yes, the park is a bit tired looking, but who cares really if the kids are having fun? The staff are frindly and helpful and the toilets have been spotless when we've been, I can't comment on the food as we always take a picnic (if you leave it in the car till you need it, it's not far to walk). There's loads of green space for picnicing or even a sleep in the sun while the kids play, and I've never seen it crowded (although I've never been in the school holidays).

Not The Most Sophisticated Of The Uk's Theme Parks

Not the most sophisticated of the UK's theme parks but my young kids really enjoyed themselves (it's not aimed at older kids or teenagers anyway). A fair amount to do, no queues, nice atmosphere, food perfectly adequate and half the price of the equivalent at Disneyworld!

Recommended for an easy and nice day out.
