Christmas Disappointment

The whole evening was a great disappointment, there were no lights outside the hall, queues for the ladies toilets (of which there were eight only), no atmosphere in the house at all, couldnt believe we queued for over one hour to get in. Expected to see lots of costumes and festive activities. Even the kitchen was sparse, where were the mince pies and christmas pudding to buy?? nothing. The marquee held stalls with vendors selling pies, cakes, woollens etc, all things you can buy anywhere. My husband and I travelled to Shugborough expecting to see something really special, we see more festivities walking down our local town High Street. As pensioners, it was money wasted.

A Wonderful Day Out For All Ages And Abilities, So

A wonderful day out for all ages and abilities, so much to see, farm, hall, working old kitchen, laundry, cart horse pulled trailer rides, train to take you to different areas of the sight. Lovely walks around grounds and along river and canal.
