I Visited The London Museum Of Docklands Quite A W
I visited the London Museum of Docklands quite a while ago when they had the special Jack the Ripper exhibition. This was the only part of the museum which I think is nto very suitable for young children but it is not on naymore I think. And although it was a bit disturbing I found it quite interesting. The rest of the museum tells the history of how the docklands has been developing over the centuries. As I live close to this area and love hanging around Canary Wharf I was very impressed at how this area has turned from being extremely poor into an important financial district. You can see examples of crafts shops and small businesses that used to exist in there, like bakery shops and pubs. They have tried to recreate the atmosphere of the streets and the whole neighbourhood. Also I found the Room of Slavery very moving and very imformative. It is a good time spent if you are interested in the history of London Docklands.
