This Was A Wonderful Experience And A Lovely Birth
This was a wonderful experience and a lovely birthday present. The horses were lovely and the people very friendly and knowledgable. Riding on Rotten Row was amazing and will definately be going back in the Autumn. As for being on a lead rein until we got into the park, you are riding through a major city and I dont know many horses who would cope with this and think this is totally acceptable and the right thing to do as one of our group had not ridden much, but the horses were so safe we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Well done Catherine and we will see you in the Autumn cant wait.

I Had A One-to-one Hack Here At The Hyde Park & Ke
I had a one-to-one hack here at the Hyde Park & Kensington Stables at the beginning of July 2009, and it was wonderful.I'd booked and paid online, after a detailed exchange of emails with one of the staff, so all my questions had been answered before I arrived, and I knew what to expect. I wanted an accompanied hack in Hyde Park, and that was what I got.I arrived early, but was directed to a charming little cafe on the corner until closer to the agreed 09:00 start time. The stables staff were friendly and helpful, and the horses immaculate. It was strange to be on a leading rein (first time in over 30 years!) but only until after our first trot, and in any case, I understand this approach completely: experience from my home yard is that some riders frequently overstate their riding abilities, to say the least. So, within 15 minutes, I was happily riding side-by-side with my guide down Rotten Row, where we met the Household Cavalry, warming up before a parade. The park was beautiful, and the horses unfazed by the traffic we encountered, though clearly bright and forward-going. The hour was up all too quickly.I would definitely return, as it was a delightful way to spend an hour in Central London, and harks back to a way of life largely forgotten.

Riding With Hyde Park & Kensington Stables In Lond
Riding with Hyde Park & Kensington Stables in London through Hyde Park was amazing, it is something I have wanted to do for a long time and when I finally had the opportunity to do it, it was everything I thought it would be. I am an experienced rider and have horses at home in Australia. When I first got to the Stables I could not believe that they even had stables in Central London. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I booked a 1 hr private hack through the Park. I was given a lovely horse to ride who was honest and kind. All of the horses look well looked after which is nice to see.
The Hack was amazing and seeing all the park's historical monuments as well as all the park has to offer was great. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride and would definitely recommend it to friends and family, previous horse riding experience or not.

Hyde Park & Kensington Stables, Was An Experience
Hyde Park & Kensington Stables, was an experience - one to tick off my "been there, done that" list. I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to redress the balance. This was something my friend and I arranged as we've always wanted to do it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We're both experienced riders with our own horses but we were kept on the lead rope until we were in the Park. Five minutes into the park, and once we'd had a trot, the ropes were off. Having previously worked at trekking centres myself I totally sympathise with this approach. To say that some people can "exaggerate" their riding ability is perhaps putting kindly, and you wouldn't want to take the risk with people who can't ride as well as they say being loose in central London!
I found the staff friendly, and had a good chat with the girl accompanying me throughout the ride - in fact the hour passed very quickly.
We didn't receive tuition through the ride, but I wouldn't expect to on a hack. You would need to book a lesson to do that.
My mount, though not the type I would usually ride, was sweet and forward going.
Hyde Park is a fabulous place, and it's remarkable that we have this facility in the centre of London. The buildings around the park are also attractive and imposing, which makes for a unique riding experience. One of the funniest things was the way you become a tourist attraction - I lost count of the number of photos taken by passing tourists!
I probably wouldn't rush to do it again, mainly due to cost - I can think of other ways to spend that amount on a trip to London - but I'm really glad I went. Thanks to all those involved.

Well, Where Do I Start. The Staff Is Incredibly Ru
Well, where do I start. The staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful. They keep you on a lead the entire ride through the park, they do not teach any skills. They don't even have any equipment for people who would like to jump. I have never heard of a horse riding stables that doesn't offer jumping! I am an experienced rider who was looking to brush up on some skills and get back to riding on a regular basis. I booked a one hour private lesson thinking I would be in an arena with an instructor. Instead I was dragged around Hyde Park like I was on a trail ride. It was quite ridiculous. They don't tell you when booking that you have to say whether you would like it in the arena or not. How the hell was I supposed to know this! They charge you before you even ride. AN EXTREME RIP OFF! Not to mention they put me on a lame horse who tripped over himself, threw me off and then slammed on my leg; which has left me with a sprained ankle. Not even a sorry or a refund.

Kensington, Hyde Park & Kensington Stables - I Boo
Kensington, Hyde Park & Kensington Stables - I booked a hack round Hyde Park as a treat for myself. I turned up at the allocated time. The woman said I had got the time wrong (they had already taken the money out of my account). She was totally unhelpful. No possibility of a refund. When I did finally go we left 30 minutes late. They had beginners and experienced together so when we trotted their horses took off. Ended up back in 45 minutes which was £1 a minute!! Terrible experience.
